MY FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER
If you know me, you know i LOVE Sombra.. I can proudly say i am his #1 fan, and if you say otherwise, then i WILL fight you irl.......
Why is he your favorite character ever? Isnt he like.. a super boring and generic villain?
First of all, dont be so mean. Second of all, he has been my favorite since i was a whole 6 years old. When i first saw the first episode of the crystal empire in 2015 or something, i saw sombra, and the little guy in the back of my brain that controls the autism said "THATS THE ONE!"
Hes been in the back of my mind ever since, but when i rewatched my little pony in 2023, i saw him again and he immediately became my favorite character again. Hes boring and stupid and his design looks straight out of 2012 deviantart and i love it

SOMBRA HAS NO MERCH AT ALL.. Okay he has a funko pop which released in october of 2024 (WHICH I ONLY FOUND OUT ABOUT IN 2025..) and the comics but other than that he has no merch at all!! not even a little blind bag figure..

The TV show!
Before the show
Season 3 was actually not sombra's first appearance,
it was in a little wedding themed game on hasbros
site (Which isnt up anymore). Someone dug through the
files and found this picture of sombra months
before season 3 came out!

Season 3
Sombra in season 3 is the most popular version
of him, he first appeared as a weird shadow
thingy, then turned into a pony for a few moments
before getting vaporized (part 1)
His design definitely screams evil alicorn oc
to me but honestly that just adds to the charm,
he also has no cutiemark since hes not a real
pony!
Season 5
Season 5 is interesting to me because
it shows an alternate universe where sombra
won the war against the crystal empire!
Also design change number 2
Because his fangs changed just a little lol. Also
his i think his voice got a little deeper..
Season 9
SOMBRA IS BACK! When sombra appeared in season 9 i
literally screamed.. The diffrences in his personality
between season 9 and the earlier seasons are INSANE!!!
Hes a whole lot more dramatic (including his voice)
and narcissistic. Though there was so much
new content i couldnt even be mad.. This

Sombra got vaporized for real this time and died??? I think. Though its mostly cause he was being an idiot.. He couldve easily won the war if he chose to help the other villains or he couldve won it on his own if he just trapped the mane 6 better!!!
I definitely think hes the strongest villain aside from discord, I get that chrysalis has a huge army of changelings and tirek is literally satan but with no help (from an army or from taking magic) sombra would be able to beat both of them at the same time in a fight, im sure of it
THE COMICS!
Im so sad that so many people dont even know about the comics, both the stories and art are AMAZING and theres so much extra lore

Sombra has no backstory in the show, hes boring and just evil cause he wants to be evil but the comics made a really good backstory for him

I remember watching this animation as a
kid, They gave him a cool as scythe to fight with and
made him british lol
I think i watched this as a kid but im not sure
tbh.. He has a little ":3" mouth in this
animation, its cute :)) Also they gave him
a cutiemark which is nice since if i use it
somewhere then only people who are huge fans of
the character will notice!!
